JIANG SHAN CHUN PRESENTED AT THE UNITED NATIONS HEADQUARTERS, NEW YORK

Peking Art Associates was delighted to unveil two portraits by our artist Jiang Shan Chun at a special exhibit on June 5th 2015 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York as part of the ongoing cultural events to mark the 70th anniversary of the United Nations in “Strong UN, Better World”.

Televised on UN TV and before a group of UN ambassadors and dignitaries, Jiang’s pair of oil paintings featuring a Tibetan Girl and a Tibetan Boy he painted from live sketches created during a six month visit to Xinjiang and the Tibetan plateau, sponsored by the Chinese government, were the featured highlight of this chapter of the exhibitions.

Prior UN art exhibitions this year have included renowned Chinese artist Xu Bing, African artist El Anatsui, and upcoming exhibitions include the unveiling of a sculpture composed of 193 stones from each of the 193 Member States of the UN by Italian artist Michelangelo Pistoletto.
